"Qweekly" Reviews #1

This is the first installment for my weekly 'Lazy reviews', so check it out!

Life Of Pi (2012, Ang Lee)- I did not read the book but all I can say about this movie is that it is visually interesting but sometimes it felt somewhat over the top but thanks to some great performances it helps to cloud that fact. The style and the substance was balanced and Suraj Sharma completely stole the movie and for me he was snubbed for an Oscar nom. 3.5/5 for me. I thought it was overrated.

The Other Guys (2010, Adam McKay)- An average buddy cop movie with of course a funny performance from Will Ferrell (this guy just connects to my funny bone) and also surprising performance from Marky Mark instead of the usual pissed-off guy, in this movie it felt like he parodied himself. 3/5.

Superman III and IV (1983 and 1987; Richard Lester and Sidney J. Furie)- Both bad movies, not even a "so bad movie it's good", both had wooden performances from the cast except from Christopher Reeve and Jackie Cooper, bad special effects especially 'IV' and both destroyed the mythology of Superman. *vomits* 1.5/5 (Thank you Christopher Reeve and John Williams, Oh Man Of Steel, please be good).

Semi-Pro (2008, Kent Alterman)- A semi-movie but with the help of a somewhat convincing acting from the actors, some funny lines and of course Will Ferrell it did made me laugh at times. 2.5/5

Office Space (1999, Mike Judge)- With the huge help from the great performance of Gary Cole as the boss of all douchebags I liked this movie despite being kind of dragging. 3/5

Napoleon Dynamite (2004, Jared Hass) I did not like this movie, no offense to the fans but I thought it was pretty dull and I was not sure what it was trying to achieve, was it telling the everyday life of Napoleon or spoofing a documentary, maybe I need to rewatch it again, or maybe not. Time will tell. 2/5

Zack And Miri Make A Porno (2008, Kevin Smith)- Another comedian who has a direct line to my funny bone, Seth Rogen. This movie just had me in stitches and made me laugh all throughout, kudos to the cast and having the balls on making this. 3.5/5

Well that's about it for the first installment of lazy reviews, I hope you enjoyed what you read and please share your thoughts below and also share what you've watched this past week.
